Speaking of gallery walls

did anyone watch Style Department last night? Suzanne was photographing a living/tv room and covered a whole long wall, some areas almost to the floor and wrapped around other walls with framed art. At first i thought it was going to be rather nice but when all was said and done, i felt it was over the top and rather distracting. Visually, it made everything else in the room disappear.

I am watching it now.

It is busy looking.

If you don't like a cluttery look, you certainly won't like it.

I did like the final effect of the large dark TV plasma screen hung on the wall now does not look like the primary focal point when you enter or walk up the stairs from the entry - with the wall of pictures surrounding the wall TV screen - it now seems to hide or blend in among the other wall art.

Also liked that they changed up the open stairs to a solid half wall. When seated in that TV sitting room you now feel secluded and not open.

That could be a bonus if you had furniture you were not so happy about. Something to keep in mind I suppose.

I didn't see that particular show but so far from the ones I've seen I'm not at all impressed with Suzanne's work!
