Now that we have had rain, my new garden with solely perennial plants are showing growth again, (not the stunted look they had for the past few weeks!).
I need some colour in the garden. Can I still plant some annuals here and there, or have I missed the boat, and the planting season is over?!

How did you do? I hope you found something you like. Post pictures if you can.
goodie! I'm off tomorrow to see what I can find...I'll take any leftovers!
is that everything is on sale! woohoo!
Sure you can. I know I was very late to get impatients for my shade garden, as I wasn't ready for them when everyone else was buying them like mad. I didn't get the pink mix I had in mind, but I'm thrilled with the coral collection that was in peak form at the garden center when I got there.
Even if you'll have a shorter season with your late planting, it's worth it if you will enjoy it.
You can plant annuals now with no problem if you can find them. I went out this week to find some to replace some in my window boxes and what was left was tall spindly, brown and mostly dead. I guess that is why they were 50 cents. LOL....good luck on your hunt. You may be able to get a hanging basket of annuals and if they look healthy divided them up and plant them. I had no luck there either tho... :)
