staining teak furniture. I think ours looks great and if you prefer a darker wood then I say go for it!
I wouldn't stain teak.

while in Bali...I don't think there is any problem with staining it...we were able to choose from lots of colours and picked this colour...I think this is what you are looking for...the furniture is darker in real life...

From what I know teak is a very dense wood and therefore does not take stain well.
i would not attempt refinishing the teak. it is a very expensive wood and i'd be afraid of ruining it. if you really have your heart set on it, i'd ask a professional.
