I have been sewing for years, mostly for family and friends and I really love it. I prefer home decorating, drapes, blinds, duvets, etc.
Recently I registered my business and have set up a workroom in my home.
I need help with pricing. If anyone can help me get some info on current prices I would be grateful.
Also, how can I advertise/promote without spending a fortune. I can't afford Yellow Pages yet. I have done flyers, business cards, but how do you make yourself known?

you can mail letters to area designers...explaining what you do, & your willingness to share a portfolio with them.
I know one young lady who made quite a successful business out of selling handmade children's bedding and draperies through the internet. Even if you don't actually sell online, the internet is still a great advertising tool, and you can find some inexpensive programs to create a simple website. You can put the website address on your cards. Best of luck
