string trimmers - what type?

We need to pick up one of these, probably this weekend. What do you like? Gas? Cordless? corded? We have a typical suburban lot, not tiny but not big either, 40x112 ish. I will use it a bit and DH will likely use it more. I'd rather not get a gas, for environmental reasons and they're just too noisy. Are the cordless ones powerful enough with enough of a charge? Is the corded ones annoying with the cord everywhere? What do you have and what do you/don't you like about them? thanks!

My DH uses it only never me he is the garden guy. He found the electric not powerful enough but he was doing some heavy weeds. The gas he likes a lot better hated the cord thing. If you are doing only lawn edges the electric should be powerful enough. The main thing he has found is the string reel check it out some will rewind easier than others and he found it so frustrating with the string getting stuck all the time. The electric one was a cheap one and the gas one he paid quite a bit more for it and he doesn't seem to have the problem with the string.
