OK

you all have me laughing...
wait til Jenny Craig hears about this! You'll put her out of biz in no time!
.......I have to pick at and collect something while I watch T.V. It's better than eating an entire box of Bocci chocolates!!!
Elise's toe lint is better than straw. lol
Toe Lint for pillows... like the stuff they use on trading spaces?
Does the US not know about pre-fab pillow forms or am I the only person who notices this?
Oh, red heron, thank god I'm not alone in my great disdain for that disastrous misuse of the word "honesty." LR should be ashamed of herself.
Honesty! Gimme a break.
I'm pretty sure it's on at 8pm tonight (TO time). 6pm where I am.
Maximalists unite!
....hey, don't knock toe lint. I'm collecting it to stuff my pillow!!!!
Now wait a minute, I have the registered trademark rights to mean spirited around here LOL. :)
I totally agree with the opinions you all have of Anna. When I saw the 1st show I thought wha wha wha why her ?
There are so many others they could have chosen from to be a judge.
Too bad.
I too LOATHE the "I want honesty"... gag, puke, yuck!
Anna Simone inspires me almost as much as toe lint! Stick to the hotels Anna!
We should have a Maximalist Minimalist showdown on H&H!!!
As for her 'on camera appeal' - I'm sorry, what camera appeal! What time is it on tonight? Or is it tomorrow night?
Anna Simone was a truly dumb choice for the judge's panel.
She's icy cold and (in my opinion) has an extremely narrow view of design. I find that minimalists like her often have a hard time breaking away from their aesthetic ideals.
And that episode on H&H where Lynda Reeves tours her home and and utters the words "I want honesty." makes me ill.
Maybe she was the producer's idea of a Simon Cowell.
Ok, enough mean-spirited banter from me.
My thoughts exactly!! (though mine were not as witty or funny!). I just don't understand Anna Simone at all!
....about 15 min. of it today. I don't understand why Anne Simone is one of the judges. She has the personality of a spatula and should be running a school for people who aspire to grow up with the personality of Keanu Reeves.
I laughed when she said one of the window displays with all of the antiques in it wouldn't catch her attention. This from a woman whose entire apartment consists of a chandelier, black chaise and some rocks. I don't think so!!!
the window contest was fun - all blondes left but one now! I think Karen is the odds on favourite, down to earth, articulate and fun. Anyone else have a fav?
I agree with the two who are gone
She had no personality....
He seemed too full of himself with attitude.....
I did not mind the window they did but it was not my favourite.
The chairs were the best and I did love Dotty and that others girls windown
I dont' know what Anna Simmone smokes but her statement about her walking right by is way off the mark I think.
That is one window that would make me stop and look for sure!!!
I found it ironic that they paired these two together as they were the remaining 2 from the previous week of the ones they didn't like. That seemed unfair to rig it that way.
Furthermore I was a little confused about the comment the judges made that they overaccessorized their display, I thought it was the most minimal of all the windows besides the "chairity" one. I was also under the impression that Suzanne Dimma and the guy(don't know his name) liked the space when they first saw it. Whereas none of the judges liked Uyla and partners room, eg the lit candles etc...
They also got critisized for not working as a team, one member overwhelming the other, I guess two of the judges know from personal experience how bad that is....
I'm very pleased to see who got voted off tonight - two weakest on camera for sure!
The judges were a little harsh - but Suzanne had some constructive comments for sure!
I am suspecting she is a Toronto Gal that lost!
Is Dotty still in it?
I have a cold.... it must be affecting my brain!!
So the winner isn't necessarily blonde, but at least one of the losers is. Hope it was the BC woman!!
at 10pm?
today WAS blonde and ergo NOT the winner!
They're both still in the running after last week, but neither of them is blonde. So if the winner is blonde, that puts them out of the competition somewhere along the way....
so I don't know who got eliminated!!!
Based on who I ran into today... I thought that Ulya and Tim were still in the running... maybe I'm wrong?
Empty Nest is a great concept - I had to design a 3rd storey attic room - Tranquility was my inspiration! No Buddhas for me!!! I went with Steamship White on the floors, creamy white walls, glass, shag, faux fur ... watery! A summer look and a winter look (hence the faux fur) kinda like Bali meets Iceland!
I know have to do this room somewhere because it was yummy to plan!
But, I guess that means that decorator guy (can't remember his name) and Ulya are gone. She was my choice to win.
I just hope the blonde winner isn't that annoying woman from BC....if she is, I'm guaranteed to never watch her show!!
Just enough of a hint for us to see if we can pick up the judges' negative clues.
Good luck on the Empty Nester competition. Now that's a show I'd watch as it applies to me. We're doing our darndest to downsize. Always on the lookout for items that do double/triple duty. Seems like I'm not downsizing when I keep buying more.
I figured the blonde factor was vague enough!
We should start a forum pool on the outcome - seeing as the NHL season is officially tanked!
don't tell any more hints :)
