I'm not sure if you all remember, but I last year, posted about my Aunt's cat Lou. He had gotten his paw caught in a rabbit snare a couple of years ago, and ended up having to have it amputated. SInce then..he's been a happy healthy 3 legged cat.
Well, I got an email from my Aunt a couple of days ago saying that Lou was at the vet. Apparently, he's severely anemic and they don't really know why. They admitted him, and have been doing tests. Yesterday, he recieved a blood transfusion from an 18 pound donor cat and is in stable condition..at least for now. The vet is saying if his red cell count doesn't start going up..they will have to do a bone marrow biopsy. But they really don't think its cancer, considering his white cell count is fine. Figured I'd share this strange tale...maybe someone has had a similar experience with their cat.
Anyway, here's a couple of pics of him and his "sister". She doesn't have a name yet (and is 3 years old). They just refer to her as "Lil Pus".
