thank you pearl and lacombe.....i must say its been a week from **** one minute dh wouldnt feel too bad and the next he would feel awful, now he and two of our daughters have the stomach flu, so im running around the house disinfecting anything that doesnt move :hairpull: im now wondering if he hasnt felt good because he picked up a bug from being at the hospital, at least that is my hope. He is suppose to see the cardio dr one week from the angioplasty and stints, called them...NOPE cant get in until December, told me to call the family doctor, NOPE he too is booked until Dec, but they have given him an possible appointment for this coming tuesday (will let us know tomorrow) and if they dont see him, i dont know what the heck we are going to do. At the same time, im trying to quickly do all the xmas shopping, and when i have mucsles around im having the xmas stuff brought upstairs, so there sits the tree undecorated, i know it all sounds early but i just feel at this point i need to stay on top of things as much as i can. I will be more relaxed when dh is feeling himself. So, that has been my life this past week ;) I hope everyone is doing well and decorating up a storm, home decor is at the bottom of my list right now, (hell, im trying to find the time to just keep the house together) but im sure i will be back at it in the new year and i pray some good luck comes for 2009.
thank you for thinking of us

Hi Janet, please take care of your self too, it sounds like your in over drive, we don't want you getting sick too.:)
well i have been sluggish today but havent hit the washroom yet, even ran out and did more xmas shopping, so its a waiting game to see if the flu hits me or will i be lucky enough to escape ;)
Never fear, if for one second i felt dh was having any problems due to his heart or at risk i wouldnt think twice of calling the ambulance. He was more tired and sluggish, some headaches ( which could be the flu symptons) and i think some anxiety thrown in there (which is common for people after certain medical procedures.) My frustration was the fact that he couldnt even get an appointment for a one week follow up which was recommended by the cardio who did his procedure. He is doing pretty good with the flu, the worse symptons seem to have passed and he is loving laying in bed watching the hockey game. :D I do recall when he had these procedures in the past it took a bit of time to bounce back, but until he got the flu he was out and about, doing a little grocery shopping and visiting and then i would nag him to rest each day. As far as we know the family doctor is still able to see him tomorrow unless he gets called out for surgery. As he becomes more physical that is when it is going to tell us if the stints are doing their job....scarey but they told him he must get active after a week  So, im just hoping for the best.
I am missing so much reading here, im going to have to catch up, i just cant miss anything.....:biglol: off to the DD board to see what you ladies have been up to
thank you

Janet...thank-you for responding because we miss you when you're not around....hopefully the worst of that bug has run it's course...If Mr.C is not feeling any better you should bring him to emerg...cardio patients have priority....As you know in life ,the squeaky wheel gets the grease & sometimes even though it is not our nature or personality we sometimes have to be persistant.I know what you mean about them wanting you when their sick...My DD is 43 & still likes me around when she is sick:)Hopefully you don't get sick.....Janet you take care & keep us posted:)
"Ditto" with PearlG. Typical male will not want ambulance but tell him that it is a "round about way" over the system. ;) The emergency system will definately take someone coming in by ambulance and with his background and condition it should be taken care of. It never rain but it pours and you have your hands full. Take care.
Unacceptable waiting for a follow up. He is a Cardio patient and takes priority.
Go to emerg as someone has suggested...he needs to be seen. Has DH gotten his flu shot? Would be a very good idea...discuss with physcian first.
go to emergency if you are not sure. Really, there are people there with sniffles and cold symptoms so do not feel guilty about taking him in to emerg. They expect that. What a medical system we have!
Best of luck Janet. Hmmm....maybe the tree will just add a little early Christmas spirit.
i was just floored that nobody could see him for his one week follow up, and yes DBD, if they dont or he still isnt what we feel he should be, he will be going to emerg.............and yes lots of sickies in the house, im waiting for DD to fall asleep and stop running to the washroom so i can get some sleep, no matter how old they still want me there, im sure i be next on the flu list
thankyou

Bummer about the family. We were wondering what happened to you.
As far as your hubby goes, don't wait for an appointment if you can't get one. Get him to a hospital and explain he is feeling awful, just had stints, and can't see his doctor. That is what emerg is for and they will take him for that kind of complaint. I know that for sure as with my mom they always said 'you come in when there is a change and you can't see your doctor' because with some conditions, you just can't afford to wait if you don't know what it is up.
Anyway, take it easy when you can and try and stay healthy. Sounds like you have a few people to look after so be good to yourself too.
how did this happen, this thread was suppose to be a reply to pearl and lacombe.....i could have swore i did it right.....then again, the way my brain has been, i most likely messed up....sorry
