Hi Tish,
Sorry for the delay. I'm bad - I haven't checked the food forum for a couple of days!
But here's the recipe. They're very yummy!
1/3 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp instant coffee granules
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
2 egg whites
1/3 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup white sugar
Beat butter in large mixing bowl with an electric mixer on med-high speed for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar, cocoa powder, coffee granules, baking soda & cinnamon; beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in egg whites & yogurt until combined. Beat in as much flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in remaining flour with a wooden spoon.
Place white sugar in a small bowl. Droup dough by teaspoons into sugar and roll into balls. Place balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8 - 10 minutes until edges are firm. Transfer to wire racks to cool. Makes about 40.
The cookies crack or "crinkle" as they bake - hense the name :) ENJOY!
