I think we've settled on engineered hardwood for the basement. Unlike solid hardwood, it's less susceptible to moisture and therefore suitable for below-grade installations. I've been looking at the Trillium engineered hardwood at Home Depot -- it's click-lock (no gluing or nailing required), which is a plus because we plan to install it ourselves. Does anyone have any this type of engineered hardwood and, if so, how do you like it? Do you find it any different than regular hardwood?
