The little ones are $20 - about a foot tall I have no idea how much the big ones are.

How tall is this green box ? Cinqfoille bushes grow about 4 feet tall , depending on how much you prune in the spring. Very hardy...See the post "special greens"

do you know how much they cost?...DH was wondering about plastic rocks the other day...wants them for around the pond so the kids won't get hurt on them as bad as real rocks...thanks

Have you seen those plastic fake rocks they have? I can't believe how good they look. They just go over the offending item. You could grow plants around one of those and you wouldn't have to worry about as much coverage.

I have seen small ones at Home Depot and Walmart. I am sure you can get larger ones as well.

on my drive to work, I always look at a particular house with beautiful landscaping. They have a larger than average green box in front of their home as well. It isn't actually green, its painted a medium brown and is about 6ft wide by 4ft high (my guess). They planted 4 pyramidal cedars along the front of it so it blocks "their" view of the box, not the street view. It's the only thing they could do there and it worked out great.

cedars grow quick don't they...although i find that they sometimes attract mosquitoes...atleast they do in my neck of the woods

I have them successfully growing alongside a really ugly basement wall and air conditioner. They are mostly ignored by me and the only care is a trim once a year.
