I am in the middle of the wall organizer project from the weekend workshop section of the Feb. 2005 H & H issue. I can't locate pine 1 x 2s. Home Depot, Rona, and several other stores tell me that pine is not available in 1 x 2. Can anyone tell me where I might obtain this in the Vancouver lower mainland? I've painted one wall and bought the IKEA accessories, so I'm eager to finish.
Thanks.

If you have one in your area, they are worth checking. As well you might want to check any of the other lumber stores. I found the one here that specializes in cedar also carries a lot of pine (and much nicer quality). With fence building and gardening coming up they may have a better selection than the big box stores.
I would ask if Home Depot will rip 2x4s into 1x2s. Most lumber yards will make these types of cuts for a small fee (my local Home Hardware charges $1 a cut).
