We just got notice that watering restrictions will start next week. Our sod will only be in for 2 weeks at this time and it is hot right now I am worried that I can't water everyday is every second day ok for new sod. Also is it better to water at night or early morning.

I would call your town/city hall as here there are water restrictions also but with new sod or seeded lawns, that is waved for a few weeks to give it a chance to get established. After all people do not spend all the $ and time not to be able to water. I am sure you can get this sorted out with them.
Thanks for the web site it had a lot of good info now I know DH has to get up early to do his watering.
