Isn't he just the cutest thing? He is an Abyssian, and his name is Nero, which I thought appopriate considering we're going to Rome this summer. We haven't gotten him yet, he's only six weeks old.

Yes, the breeder will look after him while we're off enjoying Italy. He'll get to hang with his sister again!

Oh, I didn't realize you have to wait 12-14 weeks for a kitten. For dogs, the standard seems to be 8 weeks.
Well, I guess there are reasons for it. And the longer wait will just make it all that much sweeter when you get to bring Nero home :)
I assume you have to wait till he's 8 weeks old before you can bring him home?? If that's the case, just a couple more weeks to go :)
Actually, it's a common misconception that kittens can leave their mother at 8 weeks. It's actually 12, and when you're dealing with a breeder, sometimes 14, so we should be able to take him home around the first week of May. Too long!
