Lore
of a dark tray on the toilet tank with the candles and stuff . . .
good...cuz i can't...lol...but i'll give it a shot...after i buy a tray now!!!
Hey, I like that tray idea. Maybe something mirrored or chrome or a creamy white one! Then the apothecary jars, a small bud vase with a single flower in it, and a perfume or 2! I can see it!
bring it on!!!!... :D
I like the little floral photos, but I am not a fan of placing them around the tub. The mother in me imagines bloodshed. They are very pretty though - I bet you have a narrow wall somewhere where you could hang them stacked vertically.
How about candles for the edge of the ensuite bathtub? Aren't candles nicely evocative of romance (or whatever you call it in your house :D ).
What about a tray for the counter of the main bathroom? It seems to me that if you group small items on a tray they might look more substantial. Humour me, since you are apparently idle: if you have a tray around the house, put your little grouping on it and post a picture for us. That is, if you are able to stand any more scrutiny, of course!
ahhh...quiet savour that sound! i agree with you somedays things are better left alone. then other days wham! first try it looks great. oh well...at least you have pizza to munch on!
RED,,.i was in the big smoke yesterday for a dreaded field trip to designers walk and had it in my mind to stop in to visit your store but time ran away from me. all those textiles my head was spinning!! i would have rather just shopped elsewhere for the day!
but i did see a certain designer... let's just say the one that nixxed your tables on DM... in one showroom who seemed well just a tad over demanding to say the least! :D
But alas you live and remain in the boondocks....
sure rub it in...and it's bum &^%$ idaho.. ;)
france...right now...absoultly squat!!!!...DS has a hockey buddy over and i just finished making them a homemade pizza (not store bought frozen here!!!)...i would get tared and feathered if i try to make a frozen pizza...and now i'm enjoying the quite in the house...they just went outside to play ball hockey....and i think i'm done for tonite...my head is spinning...why does this stuff look good in your head and when you try it...it doesn't work...ahhhhh!!!!....pretty soon...i'm gonna leave walls bare...counters blank...and to he** with all of this....lol :D
came into the city more I could direct you to where you could get said apothecary vases at a steal.
But alas you live and remain in the boondocks....
but that doesn't surprise me...martha on beans you are.
i like the prints and candles over the loo...i concur lose the tub prints it looks forced.
i picked up that vase from loblaws as well what a steal for $5. i put tall grass reeds in it and it looks great!
what else ya been up to?? scraping fleur de lis maybe?:D
atleast i'm 1 for 3...lol...ok...i will keep my eye open for bigger... ;)
The scale of the pictures around the tub does not work. It looks cluttered and all it will take is one slip and you have glass breaking and chipping your bathtub..
Likewise, the scale of the grouping on the bathroom counter is too small and lacks substance. The glass arrangement up against the mirror is kinda lost. I would go for oversized apothecary jars filled with colour bathsalts or soaps.
Bigger is better and less is more... ha! A few big items will create a statement.
I like the pics - you done great there!
thank you

ya...i came ready to go...water and everything...that ofcourse i left in the parking lot...better than my car...but it came with the rocks at the bottom...and then the water...then it has a lil plastic cup with a hole in it that the roots of the peace lily go thru...then a few rocks in the lil plastic dish where the roots are...and that's it
Jen, take the pictures off the tub ledge. How about moving those new glass peices to the corner of you tub?
I bought one for a gift last year, heavy cement/sand like piece from Mexico and found it in a shop selling stuff from many countries in Hawksbury, Ont. of all places. It was about $25 and It can sit on a flat surface or go on the wall. The recipient chose the wall in her hallway and it looks great!!! She loves it...
it looks something like this.
is it just water with rocks in the bottom and that is all you need
thank you

I actually really like those photos.....around the tub is an int eresting place for them and really unexpected.
I am enjoying the unexpected these days.......
one thing in Paris many places I went had something that was cool and unexpected and gave so much character!!!
In fact something I am looking for for my living room is a gargoyle...yes....I know....
I have those too.
I think they are more appropriate scale for the vanity than the glass ones
oh ya...i bought these too...not sure where they are going....but the were only $5 each...lol
ha ha...ok move them to where?...
we need to tallk...
move those photos in the tub...
I am eating lunch.
So is that it? Only joking :D I'm feeling cheeky today.
I like the pics that are replacing boy blue. Nice! The plant is a wee bit small, but it is a vast improvement to plastic plants...not saying that you have any plastic...just that real is better...remember to talk to your plant so it can grow.
Now repaint your walls a warm grey to go with the frames. Does grey come in 'warm'? or another masculine colour. It will go nice with your countertop.
next...yeh, when are those fleur thingies coming off? lol
and i bought these for around the tub in my ensuite...relax the fluer de lis are coming off
ok...here's what i got for the counter...the vase thing has a real peace lily in it...it's actually for those beta fish...but i'm not putting a fish in it...
just one in school...but there will be two of them when he gets home...he has a friend coming over...yeaaahhh...he'll leave me alone...lol
aaah, the kids must be in school, that's why you can actually hear the clock ticking! Blisssss...
tick tock...tick tock... :D
