For a Ford Focus... I have been convinced to buy one, even though I don't love how they look, they are very safe and great on gas... and I am getting a great deal on an 07.... So its just to good to pass up.
Here are the choices... Black, Light or Dark Grey... what ever one I get will have dark tinted windows....

We have a new RAV4 as well. Love it and it is in the red colour too, it stands out and you don't see alot of the colour. It so far been the nicest car that we have ever driven.

Aww thanks Amy what a nice thing to say. I pick it up Monday... I am so excited! I have had such a busy day trying to find insurance... The first quote I got was for 4800... YIKES... I ended up getting a much better rate so my blood pressure is back down to normal now... :biglol:
So when do you get to take it home? I'm very excited for you :clapping: It's so nice to see good things happening for good people :D
Amy.. .
Yes I was out at the Ford dealership my boyfriend works at last night, I saw all the colours and black is the only one that will do for me... LOL And he found me one... :bliss:
seen the colours in person Condo? I went to the Ford site to look up the Focus and the colours don't look the same as they do in person. (I clean a ford dealership on the weekends, they always have a focus or 2 in the showroom, and the colours I've seen look much different than the ones online). I hope you find one in a colour you like.
Well my boyfriend is a miracle worker... He found me a BLACK one with all the options I wanted... I love him even more now... But don't tell him that.. LOL I am making him take me out to dinner for all the stress he put me through looking for the one I wanted.
Well we are having a little trouble finding a black one for me, SO NOT HAPPY! so it might end up being the dark grey... I will know before the end fo the day...
Congrats on the new job and new car Condogirl!
Personally, as long as the windows are tinted...I like any colour. But if you plan on keeping the car for awhile. go for a metallic.....a flat black or flat red looks horrible once it starts to fade. Usually the blacks are flat but the dark grey could be metallic. It'll still look great with the tinted windows. But if you can get a white one with tinted windows....my mil swears by white not showing scratches and such. She's a Ford lover. She drives the Ford Fusion now, great car. fil has the Ford Focus wagon and loves it.
either way...good luck!

My mom has a 2004 wagon, it's so nice to drive and great on gas! I really like the 2006 4 door model. And my favourite colour is a pale silvery green, I think it's called kiwi, but I could be wrong :p
It just sucks cuase I know he is going to have to drive out there and get it for me... LOL
yep...i mine got shipped from Waterlooooooooooooo...lol
I am excited to go drive it tonight, it should be fun, my DBF has gone above and beyond to find me the car/colour I want... He is currently calling all over the province just to get me the one I want... and then he his having it shipped in for me. :)
Oooh, heated seats are AWESOME!!!! Good choice!!!! :clapping:
I remembered when I went home at lunch today that a lady at work has a Focus. I think her nephew works at a Ford dealership, Anyway, she loves the car. So that's 3 happy Focus owners out of 3 that I know :)
My first car wasn't my dream car either -- but, it got me where I needed to go, which is the main thing :)
Have a fun test drive :)
ooh, good to know. My Dh has his eye on a new Rav4, with the extra third row seats, and I get to pick the colour. I chose red.
Black is much sportier looking harder to keep clean buat looks really good when it is clean. Grey is to much Grandma car for you. Me I would go for Red with the spoiler and tinted windows.
Well I just got a phone call from my BF telling me I am all approved for the car, and I placed my order for a black one, with dark grey interior, heated seats and side mirrors oh and auto transmission..I can't drive stick so embarrassing.. LOL
Even though its not my dream car, its the first new car I have ever had so I am kind of excited. It should be here by Monday at the latest.
Oh and I am going to test drive one tonight, I have never driven one before, I figured I should drive one before I sign all the paper work. LOL
or black is my vote
i vote for the silver :)
uhhh yep...they do...especially brightly coloured mustangs...:D
Apparently brightly coloured cars get ticketed more. The stats show no difference in offences when it comes to colour, but it does in those that get caught/ticketed. So a grey streak maybe is invisible and they don't notice compared to red or yellow or even white. Lots of speculation on that one in the stuff I was finding.
I checked the to make sure its a legal tint and it is, they can't sell it to me if its not. Also I just found out I get a new grad discount of 1000 YAY!!!!!
I like the dark gray.
Are these the only colours available, or the ones you've narrowed your choice down to??
I hope you'll be happy with the car -- I think there are a lot of positives to it. And you can always do some mods to it to make it look more unique :)
see yellow can be seen day AND night...:D
Think about where and when you are driving the most. When I was buying I found quite a bit of info on colours. Black of course isn't visible at night (nor is red). On highways or in multi lane situations dark grey tends to have more accidents as it blends in with the road at all times of day so can be missed by someone making a lane change. Light grey isn't visible in fog or at dusk (I think but not quite sure about that one).
On the other hand black shows more dirt and scratches but is easier to touch up. Dark grey shows the least amount of dirt and scratches. Light grey and dirt probably depends a lot of how light the grey is.
They even had info by type of car and in all types, silver seemed to come out on top. In the luxury cars, black was up there too but it was near the bottom in some other catagories of car. Something to consider if there are a lot of the same car, same colour when you are trying to find your car in a parking lot.
When I chose it was a coin toss really but I bought dark grey and in the 2 months I've had it we've had a water ban on, so no hose washing and I just can't bring myself to go to a car wash when a ban is on. So, for now, the dark grey was a good choice.
BTW, careful on the tinted windows. My niece just got her second car with tinted windows and was pulled over and fined. They were too dark and here you can only have your back windows tinted. She never had a problem with the first car, but they caught her this time. You'd think the dealer would have warned her, but they didn't. So just a head's up to check before ordering, which windows and what % is legal in your area.
does not show dirt so quickly and is a safer colour for night driving.
YELLOW!!!!!!!....
blavk please...the one i drove was silver...it was nice too
Black makes any car look better as long as you like to wash it!
