Hey,
I'm building a new home and want to put in white cabinets. Can I use a real bright white, or do I have to use a cream so that it does not look to ordinary or, hate to say it, cheap. What do you think?

I like the color white and would love to see my kitchen in complete white. But maintaining it is a task specially with kids around. Once the kids are old enough, may be I can think of it.

White color looks good in the kitchen area. It gives life to the room setting. Brighter colors can be ideal as well.
Colors also give a unique and attractive look to our kitchen.
In white color, looking simple but nice.

Love Cloud White!! Have been using it for years.
We built our home 3 years ago. The cabinets are solid maple, but painted Benjamin Moore's Cloud White. I love my kitchen. If the cabinet hardware dates itself dow the road I will change that, but the classic white kitchen, in my opinion, never goes out of style! GO FOR WHITE. It does not look cheap!
Totally agree !!! Bright white kitchens are timeless depending on the door style and finishes you have in the kitchen. I did a remodel in 2009 with all white appliances and white cabinets as well and still looks contemporary.
Hi, Evary! I really think it's personal preference. I've seen bright white cabinets look great... For instance, these kitchens look gorgeous to me:

And I really love this one — the cabinets are Benjamin Moore's Cloud Nine:

Hope that helps!
