Window / Headboard

We just moved our bed so that the head of the bed is under the window. It gives us a lot more floor space and room, but has turned my window into a headboard. I am wondering what kind of window treatments I should consider. Any help would be great.

I have seen on many home shows that people use full ceiling to floor fabric drapes for defining headboard space around the bed. It looks great. Hope that helps.

Have you thought of maybe curtains on either end of the bed with some roman blinds in the middle, or sheers. What you can also do is make a canopy over the bed and use the window as the backdrop. Most canopy beds have the same material hanging down the back of it, that is where I would put the roman or sheers.

How about shutters? You could paint them to match the wood in the bedroom or same colour as the walls.
