Window Treatments

We have a wall of windows in our great room. The ceiling is 24 ft and we are wondering if we do anything for window treatments. The middle windows are wider and the side windows are narrower. The top middle one has an arch. It gets a lot of sun light and we are worried our leather couch and fabric chairs are fading/drying out. Any suggestions? Do I need to post pics.

Also wondering about hanging window treatments on windows with transoms for our bedroom? We have already hung blinds, inseted, below the transom but it is pretty bright for sleeping. Thank you for your help.:)

A photo would be helpful for more people to contribute their ideas.

For the great room, you could hang drapes above the arch or you can buy custom made blinds for the arch itself. If it were me I would hang the drapes below the arch and then put a window film on the arch that will allow the light in but filter out the UV rays.

For the bedrooms with transoms, you didn't mention how high the ceilings were. If they are standard height you might find hanging the blinds above the transom will be more practical. If money is no object custom blinds to address the transom portion would look best.
