I was at an event today and they had a bottle of 2003 McWilliam's Hanwood Estate South Eastern Australia Shiraz. Has to be one of the best I've had. So I stopped tonite on the way home and picked up a bottle... it's delicious. For anyone who likes a Shiraz, try it. It's $17 and change.

Home-Diva, thanks for the tip, now that I'm on the mend I've a mean hankerin' for a nice shiraz!:D I usually get Rosemont or Wolf Blass, just can't go wrong there, but I'm always up to try new ones.
Be sure to let us know the menu - food and wine!
Hi Jelli,
Yes, we started. We bottled our first batch a few days ago. I will let you know how it turns out. it will be bottled for at least a month. I also wasn't a red wine drinker until about 2 years ago. And now it has become a hobby (not drinking just trying). Some friends of ours and us, are planning on a valentines dinner with a real sommelier and chef. Should be fun. :-)
I remember reading that you and your hubby were going to try making your own wine. Have you started yet? Are you making reds?
I have only just started to drink red wine. Thank you for the recommendation.
