I posted this in D&D too, as it gets more traffic.
When we renovated my son's bedroom, we tore down the old plaster walls, and the insulation inside is wood chip, yeh, how's that for a fire risk!
The house is dated 1930-1950's.
So we have tons of it, all in a big heap outside. My question is, is this wood chip ok for the garden? Can I spread it around the beds, mix it in with some compost?
It is heavy, so dumping it will cost a lot.

you may want to get a sample tested somewhere to ensure it is *just* wood chips -- that is, wasn't treated with some kind of chemical. If it is *just wood* then I would think it would be oK to use as mulch.
