Wood Cleaning Products

I was enquiring on another thread about which wood cleaning products you use and would recommend.

I apologize that I didn't do a search, as I was thinking, that this topic most probably has been discussed somewhere at some other time.

I was looking at someone's new kitchen in process and looking at their beautiful dark wood kitchen cabinets which are dust covered and will have to be cleaned and the regular maintenance of dark woods in the kitchen.

Is there a magic potion or product out there. We have products for wood floors and wood furniture. Can those be used multi purpose?

Kitchen gets greasy more so than furniture. In the stores you see shelves devoted to all kinds of cleaning products. From the Pledge brand to Orange glow and then there is the old fashioned Murphy Oil.

Anyone have suggestions ?

Their faves and successes or failures ?

Please share :)

Vinegar mixed with water is by far the best! I use it on wooden furniture, cabinetry and even on tiles. Pledge has a waxy coating that ruins your wood. Murphy's Oil over time fades your wood. Vinegar is natural yet strong enough to clean, just remember to dilute it with water.
