Is it possible to sand just a couple of pieces of wood and revarnish ??

In my kitchen the wood floor is almost perfect except a small aera where the finish is gone. I am wondering if it would be possible to just tape an sand 3 or 4 boards. I am feeling funny to ask this kind of silly question

It is a very small section between ceramic tiles and kitchen island, it is the place where the dog of the house walk with wet feets :)

Sure you can. It would be like refinishing any wood with the same problem. Although it's nice when you do the whole surface, if you can match the finish and sand a bit you should be able to repair the part you want without it being too noticeable.

You might check some stores to see what products are out there because some will probably level better to the original.

I had a wood floor that had been attacked by nail polish remover. So I did try to fix it up. Although it wasn't perfect, it did the job nicely until we were ready to refinish the floors.
