Hi all, we have purchased a home and have a painting crew coming out March 15 to paint the whole house and need help in selecting some colours that work well together. We originally thought we might use C2 paint, but have found it much easier to use BM or at least to colour match to BM. I think our painter prefers to use General or ICI paint. This much I know....
- would prefer a medium brown for neutral colour throughout
- darker brown for accent wall above fireplace and bonus room (Buckhorn??, I assume this is too dark for our base colour)
- sort of a sage/olive colour for bathrooms
- rich red/merlot for dining room
Main considerations are kitchen cabinets are white, white trim, and flooring will be a darker harwood (eventually)
Thanks in advance, have to nail this down by Saturday.

I like the colour ideas you have and think you should go for it...except the green bathrooms. I can tell you from experience green bathrooms do not make for a healthy look in the mirror. No matter what you do you can end up looking kind of sickly with the green cast coming from the walls.
If you go to Cityline's homepage and look under their Home and Garden section you can see listed under Recent Articles the Designers Choice of colours using BM paint. I think Kimberely Seldon's colours may be just what you are looking for as she lists Buckhorn as one of her favourites and Bonapart as her favourite red. They show both the numbers and samples so it is easy to see what you are looking for.
Black furniture on main, brown espresso dining room, and taupe sectional upstairs in bonus room.
kind/color is your furniture?
