:biglol: Well I thought I was done getting the boys ready for spring /summer weather with new sandals bought etc. Only one month ago I made those poor little guys try on all their summer clothes of course poor DS3 gets all the hand me downs and DS8 had some clothes I bought last yr in a box. Well of course alot did not fit but I still had lots that did or new ones that I dug out. Soooo DS8 is growing like a frigging weed over the past month I am going to have to go buy new stuff this year again!! I just cannot fill that boy up enough with food !!! He is eating 24 7 and is as long and skinny as can be :biglol:
I cannot imagine what they are going to be like as teenagers!!!! :biglol:
I hate paying full price for kids clothes as they out grow them sooo fast oh well DH will be thrilled to know! :biglol:

Pearl Girl.....

I buy all 3 of my kids clothes mostly at the second hand store in my neighboorhood ...it is a consignment shop...so the owner is very selective of the merchandise she accepts...no stains, holes and must be brandname...Gap, Roots etc.....and that way I can buy all my kids ( new stuff)...so they think....my oldest is a boy...so he doesn't yet insist on certain "in " clothes and he wears a uniform to school.......so for now this works......................the only thing I splurge on new ( besides of course pj's ,underwear, and socks) ...it new shoes ................otherwise I am off to the shop...its fun too....always something different................

I used to make trips to the 2nd hand kids stores for my 3 when they were young( we had 2 in our area) and often found items with the tags still on them. Nice quality clothing too. They were probably gifts that were not liked, too small, too big , whatever. You can find some great buys also at rummage sales and the thrift stores. I mean play jeans and t-shirts are just that and the more worn, the better the kids like them. I also would pass clothing to friends and they to me.
Shoes I bought new but have found shoes not worn also at 2nd hand kids clothing shops.
They so seldom wore anything dressy that I saved cash on the every day clothing for a nice new outfits for any special occasions.

Oh yes with 3 boys they grow so fast DS#1 always got new things and then the other 2 had to share the hand me downs. Each year one would get knew and the other would get the handme downs. The 2 younger ones were a year apart in age but the same size so we would alternate and then they would get some knew things too. As they got older the hand me downs got less as they were to woren out for it. When all 3 were teenagers I never saw food dissappear so fast the fridge hardly had time to get cold the door was open all the time.
