this goes way back
first pic...before painting in the wilmington tan
second pic....after painting in the wilmington tan
third pic.....trying wilmington tan with floral comforter because cat was destroying my new cream and sage one

final solution...painted walls Monroe Bisque and put cream and sage green comforter back on and now i keep a king size sheet on top, remove to wash and show the house when the sign goes on the lawn......my word art is gone, the rod iron thing is because there was a hook there for a pic that didnt work....the monroe bisque is good with the carpet...excuse the curtains i havent put up the tie ups yet

It is looking good. Did you take the wording off the wall? I thought that looked nice..

after we had picked the color and bought the paint, i decided to do a search on here....i know, dumb...should have done the search first...anyhoo i was surprised at how many threads there was on here about how nice the color was and how pleased people were and it was even one of Brian Gluckstiens fav neutrals....so i figured i must not have done too bad choosing and once it went up, i was very pleased.

Born2shop....i think the sheet thing works out great and just think of all the pretty sheets you can buy and you could inexpensively and easily change the look of your bed........the other day i just threw the sheet in the washer....so easy compared to vacuuming a comforter all the time plus cleaning it. Personally, i think its a brill idea :) and i love pretty sheets, so this gives me reason to pick up a couple of spares and of course the pillow cases to match :D

All the pondering worked out - the room looks fantastic. You have pulled everything together - give yourself a pat on the back. I love the bedding even with the sheet on top - I have to do the same too because of our cats. What with their nails and hair, it's pretty difficult. Again, it looks awesome!

janet....my entire walkout basement was done in Monroe Bisque in the old house...........and it was a nice neutral and the color changed depending on the time of day.........that is too funny.....we really end up using the same colors subconsciously.... ..........................

thank you all for your kind words....the room certainly does seem serene now....the color is actually nicer IRL....and it took me about 5 minutes to pick it and just had my friend confirm and off we went for the paint.... :D if it turns out that we stay here, i will dress the bedroom up a little more but at this time im not shopping much for the house.

Janet, Love the new colour choice, I know you tried so hard with the grey/purple colour but this is a colour that can go with so many accents. With re-sale colour does matter to a lot of people, I think you made a good choice.

It's nice to see you found something that works for you. That has to make you feel better.

So is the game you are now looking at houses and if you see one you like a sign goes up on yours?

yes, we are seriously considering selling, we are just waiting for something to catch our eye......
Im much happier with this color in the bedroom and even though it doesnt have any tones the same as the carpet it still has improved the look of the carpet and the whole room in general. I think the Monroe Bisque is a nice neutral and i wouldnt hesitate using it again..........
Yes Jan, lots of advice for sure....when the realesate came in the first time, she told us just to leave the wilmington tan and touch up my paint samples that i had done on the walls, but for some reason the new can i bought wouldnt blend, so we had no choice but to repaint the whole room, but now that i see it, i have no regrets.
cdn.........after this living room, anything would likely seem easy :D

jmac, yes the sheet will come off for showings of the house, but its great...i just toss it in the washer, much easier than trying to keep up with the comforter....and if i had just a white duvet on the bed...i could buy different pretty sheets and change the look whenever. :D

You've come a long way baby. That room is all pulled together now and looks fantastic. Well worth all your (& our LOL) hard work, though we only had to give advice.
