Broiled Grapefruit With Brown Sugar Recipe

Recipe:

Step 1: Place an oven rack on the upper third position in your oven. Preheat broiler to high.

Step 2: Halve each grapefruit, then loosen the segments by cutting along the membranes with a paring knife. Drizzle 2 tsp of rum over each half.

Step 3: In a small bowl, combine the sugar, butter, flour, allspice and salt. With your fingertips, pinch the ingredients together until the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over the grapefruits halves.

Step 4: Place grapefruits on a broiler pan or shallow baking dish and broil until crumbs are lightly browned and bubbling, about 7 minutes. Cool slightly before serving.
