Spiced Lemonade Recipe

Recipe:

Step 1: In a small skillet on low heat, toast the star anise, fennel seeds and cardamom seeds for 15 seconds.

Step 2: Grind them to a powder in a spice grinder.

Step 3: In a blender, pulse all the ingredients, including the spice powder, with 2 cup water until the ice is crushed. Serve cold.

Ingredients

1 whole star anise
1 tsp fennel seeds
1/2 tsp cardamom seeds
1 cup ice
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp grated ginger
Juice of 2 lemons
Zest of 1 lemon
Handful of fresh mint leaves for garnish
