Editor’s Inspiration: Statement Wallpaper
Published on January 28, 2016
Senior design editor Stacey Smithers shares three wallpapers she’s loving right now.
One of my personal resolutions for 2016 was to really dive into decorating in my new home… to be a little bit bolder! So lately, I’ve been all about wallpaper. After all, nothing sets off a space quite like beautiful pattern. Pictured above are some current favorites from my inspiration board.
1. I’m very drawn to this charming, Arts and Crafts-style wallpaper from Trustworth Studios.
2. This Farrow & Ball print dates all the way back to 1870 (it was drawn from the dining room at England’s historic Brockhampton Hall). I’d combine it with printed drapes or textiles for a layered look.
3. This last paper is a real heartbreaker! It’s created by English artist Marthe Armitage and hand-printed from lino blocks in her studio. Though all her patterns are stunning (and can be made in custom colors), I’m particularly smitten with her Oakleaf design.
