Colour Matching Paint
Q. I would like to paint the trim in my house Benjamin Moore’s Cloud White (OC-130), but I can’t buy it anywhere in my area. Can you suggest a nice trim colour from a different line? Any of the following are available to me locally: Martha Stewart, Pratt & Lambert or Sico.
A. You don’t necessarily need to abandon your Benjamin Moore colour just because you can’t buy Benjamin Moore paint in your area. Benjamin Moore has changed their colour names/numbers in the past few years. However, if you have your paint chip, bring along the sample to your nearest paint store, and they will be able to match the colour for you and make it up from a different line. Most paint stores can match colour chips quite closely now with a computer that can match colours from fabric, wood and even photographs. If you need to have a new colour, Pratt & Lambert’s Seed Pearl is a warm, neutral choice for any trim.
