Discover Emerging Toronto Artists At The Shangri-La

On June 24th, discover the rising stars of Toronto’s art market at the penthouse suites of the Shangri-La Residences. Curated by Art Collectif‘s founder Erika Floysvik, Urban Rising – New Heights for Emerging Artists will showcase a collection of works from the city’s new talent.

“In selecting the artists and works of art for the Urban Rising exhibit, I was interested in featuring a diverse body of work to represent the diverse approach artists take to expressing themselves and their media,” says Erika. Featured artists include fine art photographer Joanna Johnson, Amanda Clyne whose “paintings are conceived as portraits of invisibility,” and Lauren Pelc-McArthur — an artist whose works meld visual culture with digital technology.

While the event is exclusive to Shangri-La residents, Soho House members and guests of Art Collectif, a select number of tickets are reserved for House & Home readers. Contact Jessica at [email protected] for a chance to attend.

Look out for Erika’s home in the September issue of House & Home, on newsstands from August 8, 2016.
