DIY: Patterned Tile Coffee Table

This porcelain beauty has all the patina of an encaustic tile but stands up to spills and steals the spotlight when featured center stage on a living room coffee table.
- To make the tiled top, cut a piece of plywood to the size of your tile arrangement, attach the tiles with construction adhesive and grout seams.
- Set the board on a table with a top roughly the same size and attach sections of 2″-high trim around the outside edge to finish.
- To keep it from being pushed off, secure the board to the tabletop from underneath with screws or construction adhesive.
