Materials and Tools
- 2 12″ pieces of wire (a coat hanger is ideal)
- a terracotta pot with a 7″ diameter on top
- a 6″ pot of your favourite ivy
- a twist tie or small piece of thin wire
Bend 2 pieces of the strong wire around the top of the terracotta pot to create a perfect circle.
Transplant the ivy into the container; set the 2 circles in the pot in a crossing fashion and secure with a twist tie on top.
Bring the longest pieces of ivy to the outside of the pot and separate evenly into 4 groups. Begin twisting the ivy up the wire form, across the top of the circle and down the other side. Repeat until the globe is complete and trim off any straggling pieces.
Set in a bright spot, water regularly and continue to twist growing pieces along the frame.
