Eco Furniture

I popped in to a beautiful furniture showroom called Cisco Brothers when I was in Los Angeles in December. They have six of their own showrooms in California, but you will also find their furniture at many retailers across North America, including Kantelberg & Co. and Putti in Toronto, plus Country Furniture in Vancouver and Calgary.

At first I thought they only did upholstery, but to complement that they also have an amazing selection of case goods and accessories. What’s best is their direction towards building quality furniture in a highly sustainable manner — all their pieces are locally made in L.A.

So many pieces caught my eye, but my favourite piece was the Tilo Stool (above). It comes in several heights and finishes.

They have also collaborated with John Derian. His stunning collection is made with soy-based foam, non-toxic glues and FSC-certified domestic wood.
