Frame-Worthy iPhone Photos

I was away in sunny California last week. I love taking photos of all of the beautiful things there. I used to carry an instant camera, but these days the camera on my iPhone is almost as good and so much easier to take with me.

A few months back I discovered a cool app called Hipstamatic that allows you to take very cool vintage-looking shots. The only downside is that it doesn’t give you a good idea of what the end result is going to look like. You kind of have to guess at what you’re photographing.

But then a friend showed me another app called PictureShow. I really like this app because you can take ANY photo you’ve taken and transform it. It’s a handy app to have even if you just want to crop a photo on your iPhone. He had it on his iPad, which was great because the screen is even bigger.

Now what’s my point to all of this? Most people never print off the photos they take these days, but I think any of these shots would look brilliant printed off, framed, and hung on a wall. They are the perfect resolution to print off on a letter size piece of paper — I tried it, and they look great!
