Frank Lloyd Wright Buildings Nominated As World Heritage Sites

Some of starchitect Frank Lloyd Wright’s most iconic buildings have been nominated as UNESCO World Heritage sites. The list of 10 projects include Chicago’s Robie House; Los Angeles’ Hollyhock House (which, incidentally, just re-opened after seven years of renovations); Taliesin, Wright’s home in Wisconsin; Taliesin West (pictured above), his summer abode in Arizona; and Fallingwater. Now we just have to wait until next summer — 2016, that is — to see if Wright’s work will join the Sydney Opera House, Cambodia’s Angkor Wat and Newfoundland’s L’Anse aux Meadows.
