Grand Budapest Hotel Coffee Table Book

While actually living in a Wes Anderson film would probably be exhausting, we’d be okay with a visit — especially if said film took place in the Republic of Zubrowka, and we’d get to visit the delightfully pink Grand Budapest Hotel. But, sadly, that’s not exactly possible, so we’ll have to settle for buying this sweet tome instead. A companion to the movie, The Wes Anderson Collection: The Grand Budapest Hotel (2015 Abrams Books) gives a sneak peek at Anderson’s inspiration, interviews with the composer, costume designer and cinematographer and, of course, behind-the-scenes photos. (Check out the book trailer, above.) Cue this weekend’s daydreams of adding a splash of Art Nouveau and a rosy palette to update our apartment.
