Junk Food Landscapes

For such fun photos, the Processed Views series by photographers Barbara Ciurej and Lindsay Lochman have quite a serious message; Ciurej and Lochman describe the series as an exploration of the “frontier of industrial food production: the seductive and alarming intersection of nature and technology.” Each photo is a reference to 19th century photographer Carleton Watkins’ landscape shots of the American West, and Ciurej and Lochman explore our changing relationship to food, and how disconnected we are from its production. Pictured here is a scene made out of Froot Loops, marshmallows and french fries.
