Minimalist Nativity Set

Christmas is great for many reasons, but high design decorating? Er, not usually. Enter this ultra-minimal set, a tongue-in-cheek send-up of more traditional nativity scenes by London-based French designer Émilie Voirin. It’s an unserious blend of tradition and contemporary design — instead of the usual nativity look (a blue dress for Mary, colourful robes for the Wise Men) Voirin identifies each character with bold letters on tiny blocks of beech wood or brass.
