Rainy Day Street Art In Seattle

Don’t get us wrong: while we’re really happy to put our parkas away, dreary, grey days (a.k.a., April showers) are depressing in their own way. Enter this ingenious street art project. Seattle artist Peregrine Church has started creating quirky, fun and inspiring pieces — that only show up when it rains. He stencils them onto the city’s sidewalks using a Belgian product called Always Dry, a non-toxic, biodegradable coating that fades gradually over the course of several months. His goal? To “make people smile on rainy days,” according to his website. Check out the video above to see how it works.
