Tour The Ultimate Makeover

Technically, the term "once in a lifetime" doesn’t apply, but in the decorating world this is about as close as it gets. Every four to five years the Junior League of Toronto partners with Toronto’s design community to redecorate a Showhouse that is open to the public for three weeks. This year’s Showhouse, McLean House, at The Estates of Sunnybrook, was a collaboration with Toronto’s top designers, including Brian Gluckstein, Kimberley Seldon and dozens more. I blogged about this right before Mother’s Day so forgive the broken record, but this is a wonderful way to spend time with friends or family AND see inspiring design AND support charities at a time when they need it most.

New this year to the Showhouse is the Talks In The Tent series, an opportunity to learn about design from the best in the biz. Be sure to catch House & Home‘s Mark Challen, who will be will be presenting an up-to-the-minute trends report from the upcoming NYC International Contemporary Furniture Fair. Mark will be speaking on May 21, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
