Why Amy Schumer Has A Newfound Love For Furniture Design
For comedian Amy Schumer, 2016 is off to a pretty good start. She attended President Obama’s speech on gun control at the White House, was nominated for a Golden Globe, and now has a new man in her life – Ben Hanisch, who is a furniture designer.
Hanisch runs The Last Workshop, a custom furniture company based in Chicago, Illinois, where he crafts “simple, functional, and long-lasting” furniture, according to his website. The aesthetic of his designs can be described as refined yet rustic, with a combination of high-quality wood and metal accents. Here are a few of his designs.
This swing set dining table hybrid is genius! We’re guessing it was probably (most likely) made for Amy Schumer.
This 8′ long credenza with a solid Walnut case, mixed slatted doors, and a powder-coated steel base is a work of art.
This 1300 lb. conference table with solid concrete legs would give any boardroom a stylish update.
If you’d like to purchase furniture from the line, The Last Workshop offers shipping across North America.
