Pecan Ginger Bread Recipe

Recipe:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F. Sift together first 8 ingredients and set aside.

Step 2: In a medium bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs one at a time and beat until light and fluffy.

Step 3: Add dry ingredients to butter mixture and beat well. Beat in pumpkin. Add nuts and stir until just combined.

Step 4: Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for about 65 minutes. Cool in pan for 15 minutes. Invert and cool on rack.

Makes 1 loaf

Ingredients

1-3/4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 eggs
1 cup pumpkin
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
