Editor’s Picks: 15 Christmas Decorations To Shop Now

Design editor Lauren Petroff shares stylish Christmas decor picks to shop this season.
Thanks to our production schedule here at H&H, holiday decorating has been on our radar since the summertime. We routinely style shoots and source products for our winter editions during what has been affectionately dubbed “Christmas in July”— and I’ve been excited to share my favorite picks since then! Now that our December issue is finally on newsstands, here are 15 festive decor items to covet this season.

Leave it to Anthropologie to create a look that’s the perfect combination of whimsical, vintage and sophisticated style. These metallic bottlebrush trees would look beautiful arranged in groups.

Canadian Tire has a fantastic selection of faux wreaths to choose from right now. One of my favorites is this 30″ mixed-foliage wreath, which has a perfectly natural look and will last throughout the season.

I love the combination of leather and silver on these sleek door bells from Crate & Barrel. Their sweet jingle will be a welcome reminder of the festivities to come.

I think these oversized ornaments from RH Restoration Hardware are magical. I’d love to hang a selection in varying sizes in my front window this winter.

These candleholders from The Home Depot would add a lovely twinkling glow to any mantel or tablescape.

These simple mirrored houses from West Elm provide the ideal backdrop for a favorite decoration or objet. You could even surround them with LED lights for a glowing display.

With their sleek brass holders, these colorful calendar candles make a modern statement, while nodding to the Danish tradition of burning down one number per day until Christmas.

This garland from West Elm is so colorful and playful. I think it would look perfect in a kids’ bedroom.

For a more modern look, I like this garland from CB2 that’s scattered with silver spheres. The mint-wrapped wire adds just a hint of pretty pastel color.

There are many great ornaments on offer this season! This cute collection from Anthropologie has a charming handcrafted quality that I love.

If you don’t have vintage ones, these classic mercury-glass baubles from RH Restoration Hardware are a perfect alternative. They come in sets of 12, making it easy to fill up your tree.

These pretty pastel baubles can be found at Ikea. They come in a combination of matte and shiny finishes for a soft and feminine look

This simple ornament from Crate & Barrel is a beautiful twist on a holiday classic that can be hung in a doorway now, and later on the tree.

Hudson’s Bay has a plethora of beautiful ornaments to choose from, and I especially love these quirky bottlebrush-style woodland creatures by GlucksteinHome.

Finally, for a more contemporary tree, check out these porcelain ornaments from Ferm Living. They have a lovely painterly quality, and are available in black, blue and gold colorways.
