Explore Bobbi Brown’s New Boutique Hotel, The George Inn

Makeup icon Bobbi Brown can add hotelier to her resume thanks to her latest project, The George Inn, a stylish 32-room boutique hotel in Montclair, New Jersey. After stepping down from her eponymous beauty brand, Bobbi teamed up with her husband, real estate developer Steven Plofker, to transform a historic property in their hometown into a hip hotel for creatives.

Originally built by architect Charles Van Vleck in 1902, the property had great bones, and Bobbie and Steven were determined to maintain the building’s historical integrity. Taking on the role of creative director, Bobbi turned to One Kings Lane to help bring her vision for the lobby to life. By accentuating the building’s ornate molding and handsome architectural details with classic silhouettes and flea market finds, the team created a space that’s inviting, cool and relaxed.
