With a new decade comes the drive to take our homes and spaces to the next level. From playing with pops of color to cracking down on organization, House & Home editors are prepping for a mindful and restorative 2020. Here, we’ve compiled our personal design resolutions to inspire your own.
Dabble In Color
“I’ve always shied away from color with the fear of outgrowing it (flashback to my pre-teen years saturated with lots of pinks and purples). This year, though, I’m committed to adding color to my space, and I’m using this living room — designed by H&H‘s Kai Ethier — for inspiration. While this wallpaper is whimsical and vibrant, the decor in the room tones it down, creating a curated space fit for the modern woman.” — Bianca Zanotti, Assistant Design Editor
Support African Design
“Like the worldwide hit by Columbian singer Shakira, 2020 is ‘This Time For Africa.’ African design brings warmth to any space, especially during the long and cold Canadian winter. Manage The Mudroom

Declutter Small Spaces
“Clutter can pile up quickly in a small space, and I want the decor that I already have to shine, so I’m resolving to put things away ASAP and do a surface sweep at least once a day.
