Inside Actress Emmy Rossum’s Beverly Hills Bungalow

Shameless star Emmy Rossum and TV writer/producer Sam Esmail, creator of the Rami Malek-starring series Mr. Robot, recently welcomed their first child. Now the bi-coastal Hollywood power couple have their pre-baby Beverly Hills, Calif., home on the market at exactly $5 million. Their sweet Hollywood Regency-inspired home spans just over 3,600-square-feet, and is tucked down a tiny cul-de-sac. The circa-1964 bungalow is very quaint by Hollywood standards, with four bedrooms and three-and-a-half-baths.

The entrance to the bungalow is through a small walled courtyard embellished with iron gates. Most of the interior spaces are light and easy-going, with soft white walls and honey-toned hardwood floors.

Large enough to accommodate a grand piano, the formal living room features an unadorned minimalist fireplace and patio doors that lead out to the sunny terrace.

In the formal dining room, a gold-toned sputnik-style chandelier is set within a recessed ceiling. Throughout the house, expansive windows and glass doors open to grassy manicured gardens and a swimming pool.

The kitchen cabinets have a modern, cool grey finish and the cooktop is installed in the generous white marble island. A nearby dining area is positioned next to french doors that let in the warm Cali breeze.

A walkout from the family room leads to the pool. A flat screen seamlessly melds into millwork with ample storage and display shelves.

The principal bedroom suite includes custom closets and oceanic blue walls. French doors lead to the lush garden.

The principal bathroom is fit for a screen queen with plenty of floor-to-ceiling glass and good lighting. A large window overlooks the garden and touches of marble accent the pristine white palette.

A privacy wall was turned into a secret garden with greenery and pots stuffed with sun-loving succulents. Lush grass, a picturesque bench and an arbor add some romance.

Outside, a five-sided swimming pool is surrounding by slate terracing and tall clipped hedgerows. Generous lounge chairs invite relaxation and the effect is oasis-like, with views of only the treetops in the distance.
