Hollywood Hairstylist Jen Atkin Lists Her $4.2M Cali-Cool Home

Hairstylist to the stars Jen Atkin (who counts Chrissy Teigen and the Hadid and Kardashian-Jenner sisters as her most dedicated clients) has just listed her stylish Los Angeles home for a cool $4.2 million after only living there for two years. The 4,928-square-foot property in the Miracle Mile neighborhood features five bedrooms, five-and-a-half-bathrooms and the perfect mix of minimalist and Cali-cool style. The contemporary home is a standout amongst the smaller Spanish bungalows in the neighborhood.

A lush vegetable garden is shaded nicely by large hedges, providing plenty of privacy for the OUAI founder, her husband, photographer Mike Rosenthal, and their two rescue dogs, Roo and Chewy.

A stylish bouclé settee situated near the private garden is the perfect spot for flipping through magazines with a cup of tea.

The home’s design features can be credited to Obermeyer Architecture and Maison Trouvaille. The living room was kept very neutral with an earth-toned palette and a trio of plants which brings life into the space.

The large kitchen features bespoke cabinetry and luxe SubZero and Wolf appliances. A moody marble backsplash and island add subtle contrast to the soothing light wood.

Just off the kitchen, a light filled breakfast nook boasts views of the entire backyard.

The principal bedroom was kept very minimalistic. The oversized grigio marble fireplace and sculptural lounge chairs feel very of-the-moment.

As the sun goes down, the room is filled with warm sunlight through the sheer drapes.

A guest bedroom boasts plenty of cozy details, like a fuzzy rug to keep feet nice and toasty.

The principal bathroom’s skylight acts as a spotlight on the luxurious free-standing tub, while statement marble in the shower doubles as art.

A bedroom-turned-office is the perfect space for both Jen and her husband to work on upcoming projects.

One of the three guest bedrooms was converted into a hair studio for Jen and her A-list clients to create YouTube videos and other social media content.

Although the outdoor area isn’t particularly large, it has everything one could need: a sunny lawn, an alfresco dining area…

… and a pool with inset spa.
