Jennifer Lopez Buys $1.4M Encino Home With Fiancé Alex Rodriguez

Showbiz power couple Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez just acquired another property, this time in the San Fernando Valley’s Encino neighborhood in Los Angeles, which has been gaining popularity amongst celebs recently (see: Selena Gomez’s light-filled mansion). Built in 1948, the 2,202-square-foot home has gone through extensive renovations — the sleek, open-concept kitchen was just installed this year! The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom abode is quite a modest purchase for the A-list duo, especially in comparison to their other properties in Manhattan, Malibu, Miami and Bel Air. According to Variety, it’s likely an investment property or for a relative. Scroll down to take a peek inside!

In the entryway of this single-storey pad, you are greeted with an open-concept living/dining room with light hardwood floors throughout.

The dining area boasts a dramatic slanted ceiling, stained a dark charcoal, which adds visual interest to the cream-colored walls.

The living room was kept very neutral, while dark accents create contrast. Mid-century modern elements, like the Eames chair and ottoman and artful bookcase, score major style points.

The spacious L-shaped couch is located just off of the newly-renovated kitchen, which makes it an ideal spot for socializing with guests while dinner is being prepared.

Brand new gray cabinets, appliances and a generous island make this gathering place equipped for whipping up meals for the family or entertaining the couple’s famous friends.

Just off of the kitchen, French doors invite you to shelter from the sweltering California sun on a covered patio area made for alfresco dining.

Hidden details from the original architecture, such as the red tiled roof and stucco exterior, nod to Spanish colonial style.

The home offers two guest bedrooms connected by a large guest bathroom. The slanted roof is stained a mid-toned wood for a rustic-chic touch.

The principal bedroom features high ceilings, modern accents and views of the lush greenery outside.

In the simple principal bathroom, a double vanity, soaking tub and large glass shower proves that sometimes, less is more.

No celebrity home would be complete without a dreamy closet. One of two walk-ins, found just off of the principal bedroom, this organized closet offers tons of space for a paparazzi-worthy wardrobe.

The detached garage features a hidden 200 square-foot home office, perfect for uninterrupted work. Like writing lyrics for a new album, perhaps?
