For boy band heartthrob Joe Jonas and
Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, it’s been a busy two years. Not only did they have weddings in Las Vegas and France, but they also welcomed their baby girl, Willa, last summer. Now, the new parents are selling their then newly built home (it was built in 2019) in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles. Designed by Jae Omar Design, the 15,000-square-foot mansion has nine bedrooms, eight bathrooms, three powder rooms and a two-storey entertainment pavilion/guest house. Scroll down to tour the sprawling space that is the epitome of young, Hollywood luxury!
The home is set on about an acre of groomed grounds and tucked behind gates for maximum privacy. Vertical planks of wood add interest to the tri-gabled façade.
Two stone foo dogs greet guests, while a two-storey glass wall gives us a sneak peek inside the luxurious interior.
The formal living room is outfitted with lounge-worthy velvet sofas and tub chairs that wouldn’t be out of place in a club. A marble fireplace, spiky chandelier and sumptuous velvet fabric are A-list worthy.
For frequent entertainers, a climate-controlled walk-in wine cellar within easy proximity of the dining table is convenient and gives a restaurant-like glamor.
A wall of floor-to-ceiling built-ins displays beloved books, ceramics and other
objets. The library ladder adds plenty of charm.
The light-filled family room blends indoor and outdoor living with panes of glass overlooking the backyard. A book-matched marble fireplace is framed with stacks of wood on either side for a rustic-chic look.
With an island that seats seven, this kitchen is made for hangouts with the whole Jonas clan. A live-edge plank overhang is used to accent the island.
Just off of the kitchen is a more intimate dining area for smaller gatherings, accented with an edgy light fixture and statement art.
There’s another lounge area on the second floor outfitted with a large TV screen over a fireplace and a walkout outdoor dining area.
One of the guest bedrooms features a striking upholstered headboard and a private balcony.
With a freestanding tub by the window, edgy chandelier and chevron-laid tile backsplash, the ensuite is a luxe place to soak after a day of shooting or jamming.
The treehouse-like principal bedroom is so serene: there’s even a fireplace for unwinding after a red carpet event.
Natural wood accents the double vanity in the principal bathroom, while a starburst light fixture acts like a piece of jewellery.
Framed team jerseys of sports heroes on the wall give an extra hit of inspiration when working out in the private gym, whether it means spinning on the stationary bike, pumping iron or stretching out at the barre.
Screening rooms are a must-have for actors. The suede sofas are the perfect perch for Sophie to snuggle into when watching her star turns on
Game of Thrones and X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
The entertaining pavilion’s pub-like lounge is equipped with a vintage bar, pool table, humidor, hidden DJ station, fog machine and disco lights for hosting the ultimate at-home party.
No celebrity home in California is complete without a swimming pool and spa. Ancient oak trees provide ample shade in the backyard, but there are also plenty of umbrellas to shade celebrity loungers.
One of the many outdoor lounge areas is complete with woven sofas and wooden side tables to hold poolside drinks.
